Was watching some YouTube posts about different Rio lines and found an interesting one.
It's kinda a niche line this Rio 5 weight Outbound Short floater, couldn't find a use for it as it was... Well if you add an AirFlo Poly Leader on the end it really starts casting well. I stuck the 10' ex fast sink tip on, its the 7" ips quick sink, which is what I was looking for. Add a short 4-6' mono leader with your streamer of choice and your in business on moving water, especially if big trout or bulls are down deep looking for a full meal deal
I think it will cast equally well on a 5 or 6 weight due to the shooting nature of the poly leader.
As a plus l had all the components in my fly gear, didn't have to order anything up. Can't wait to punch it out & swing it thru a deep hole.
