Politics aside, he was one of Dr. King’s last remaining protégés . A generation of commitment is passing replaced by, well I don’t really know. Politics back in the discussion, you never doubted where he stood. I really can’t say better than that.
 
My generation was very fortunate to have three icons: MLK, Lewis, and Jackson from the Memphis bridge lore. Unfortunately, they are have all passed now. The world is a much better place due to all their efforts; each in their own way.

One of my memories of Jesse Jackson, in 1998 he counseled Bill Clinton on his extra marital affair, while at the same time he was having an affair with one of his employees, she had his baby in 1999.
At least he had some knowledge and experience with the situation.
