Reliefband - Does it work?

Scopolamine is the ticket for most people I have been on open water with who would otherwise not do well.
My wife gets motion sick from pretty much anything and she has found motion sickness glasses to be extremely helpful. She swears by them, and has a pair in my car, her commuting bag, and I’m sure a couple others lying around. Motion sickness glasses - Amazon. Based on my experience of traveling with her now vs before she knew about them, I would have to agree that they work.
 
I used the Reliefband twice. First time it worked great, no feelings of sea sickness. Second time the rollers were bigger, felt kind of sea sick, but not bad. Did have a bit of the feeling of still being on a boat for a couple hours afterwards. Upshot for me is that probably for mellow seas, I'll use the relief band. For rougher seas will probably stick with Dramamine.

I may buy Mrs Brian a Reliefband anyway because while she does not have dizziness with the patches it could have some cumulative side effects. Plus I can "borrow" it.

Report, for 2 years my wife thought Reliefband prices were ridiculous and it was a scam. But she was getting desperate for relief without the side effects of anti-nausea medications. I told her "Reliefband"s come with a 14 day return - refund policy if purchased through the Reliefband website. She told me to order it. I got her the $250 "Sport" waterproof model because the stretch band would fit her small wrist, and it's one of two pricier models with a "hypoallergenic" (stainless) wrist contact. It was the week before Labor Day and they had a 20% off sale and with (normal?) free shipping it was $206 with tax. It took a week to arrive. She charged it, watched a video I sent her a link to, and the 2-week "trial" began. It seemed to help around the house but she wasn't sure. We took a couple of 30 minute drives and it seemed to help and she still wasn't sure. But she started telling her friends that it "seemed to be working". Then a couple of evenings ago she either ate something or ate too much that made her very nauseous. She put on the Reliefband and VOILÀ! Almost instant relief, that is PRICELESS.
She's wearing it a lot more since.
I thought I'd pass it along here, where I heard about it.
 
As I have aged I find roller coasters damn scary, I now have issues looking over edges with big drop offs, and last two-three times out in the ocean I have gotten the rubber legs and the rolling ut-oh tummy (didn’t vomit). It doesn’t help when a couple others are hacking up their guts and you get to witness it. These things never bothered me before. I’m not anxious to go out in the big ocean anymore. Puget Sound will do just fine. I can catch all the tuna I need at Costco 😉
