Had about 35 minutes of thunder and lightning at Everett Boeing last night, 1 thunder clap was massive and shook the building I was in, was very impressive!

That might have been the one to hit a house.
 
A non event here SE of Oly. A few thunder claps in the distance and a little rain; that was it. A lot of effort as Mrs. Salmo and I covered the truck and cars with sheets of plywood and assorted building materials and tied them down with about 20 miles of rope. Then had to undo it all and put it away Thursday morning. Better safe than sorry I guess. Oh well, I wasn't fishing this week any way with the rivers punched out of shape.
 
No rain for you...one week.
It's such a beautiful day out here, just about perfect with air full of the smell of Spring, trees in bloom, eagles all over the place.
I should be fishing, but it's a fine day to work.

First 80 prediction this weekend. Half my yard is already fried and lazy enough to no longer care. Will try to shield a veg./fruit garden where most of the water will go. Time to put an end to all swimming pools and golf courses!
 
Even with a few nicer days, the ground is saturated. About half the area between the house and the lake can not be mowed, even though it needs it (badly). Ask me how I know? Buried the lawn tractor in 6" of mud. Thank goodness my neighbor has a 4 wheel drive garden tractor. He pulled me out of the quagmire...

I’m on my sixth straight day of house painting. Luckily I’m working on the north side, so shade most of the day.
I do agree, way too hot especially for this time of the year. Hopefully it rains tomorrow so I can take the day off from painting. We need some rain. Things are already getting bony dry.
Did I mention I hate painting as much as hot weather? 😂

Good for you Brian, paint away. If you wanted, I could have suggested a contractor, would have gotten that house done in a week. Sounds like you're half way done.

I attended a game in the LA coliseum where the grass had been painted green.
This will be the last time I paint my house myself. 😉 Someone else will get the pleasure the next time.
