I've used Stabond in the past. I just glued one of these patches on my Scout with Pliobond, as I had that at home. Seems to have worked well but I'll let you know in a couple years if it holds up well.
I have glued two of the Scotty patches to my Fish Cat Scout with Clifton's 4123 Urethane Adhesive. One of the inflatable raft/kayak shops in Calgary recommended it since I was a first time user - they felt the 1 part adhesives were easier for a novice to deal with. There is lots of addition information on the NRS site if you look at the Questions & Answers and videos for the both the Scotty Glue-on patch and for the adhesive you select.
I put both mounts on to fully inflated boats. The process is very similar to most contact cements. I marked the location lightly with pencil and then put painters tape around the outside - less cleanup. I used two light coats on both the glue-on mount and the boat. The glue-on mounts are 3 and 5 yrs old and both are holding although I only used them for cargo bag and rod holder.
