Punta Gorda, FL guides?

Heading to Punta Gorda, FL on a family thing in a couple weeks. Hope to sneak away for a day of fishing. Anyone have any experience there, seasonal pointers, or guide recommendations? I've never fished the Gulf so I am open to offshore or inshore/mangrove fishing.
