Any one use one? How do you like it and how does it compare to the SFC?

Just looking for an upgrade being a bigger guy.

You might want to also look at the Fishcat 5. Great tube for the larger (or just heavier) person. Has the foam seat though.

I like the air seats
Not to sidetrack (plus i'm allowed one dumb question a day), do the air seat valves need to be futzed with much...or can you leave them alone for the most part?

Just googled one of those. Sticker shock would be putting it mildly...

Inflation I guess, my Super Fat Cat is $630.00 now. Eleven years old, colors are somewhat faded and the fly rod velcro closure straps are pretty worn (lots of use).

Seems pretty much in-line with most inflatables these days. Prices have gone up on a lot of such things the past 5-6yrs.

It's more than double what I paid for my first Buck's pontoon boat and triple what I paid for my first car in 1970.

Other than clearance, you won't be getting a Bucks Bags for half that anymore.

Have we fished together that long? I think your maiden trip was to a lake that starts with a J and it was the first time I met @Starman77 as well...

Time does fly, remember when you used to backpack Liam? Bet you wouldn't get too far with that today! Glad you had a great outing this morning!

My main complaint with the air seats for the SFC is trying to reach the inflation valve for those, seems like it should be easier. I've gone through a couple of SFCs lately and bought the one with foam seats since I already have the air seats from my other exploding boats and can use them. I've put in the inflatable seats a couple of times, but I find the foam seats easier and quicker to use and while you might ride a touch lower in the water, you don't get blown around by the wind as much either.

At over 30 years old and still going I probably am set for life. Plus I have the 9 footer I picked up at Buzzy's a few years ago. Plus a SFC, plus a brand new old stock donut boat that I can't even give away...then there are the two hard boats...and all the motors.

I've got a Fish Cat Scout that has the same style inflatable seat bottom as the Prowler. I'm a big fan of that style of inflatable seat/bottom. In my mind, one of the advantages of the Prowler over SFC is that the Prowler uses the same Summit II style valves for inflating the main tube, the seat bottom and the seat back. It is kind of hard to make out the valve on the seat back in most photos since the seat back pouch covers it up. I do find the Summit II valves to be more straight-forward to deal with than the seat bladder inflation tubes on the FC Deluxe and SFC.

I haven't had to fuss with seat valve on my Scout at all when on the water. I'm thinking that's because the temperature of the seat bottom is tempered by the water temperature on the bottom. Although I can't find any reference to it in my Outcast documentation, the Summit II valve on my Scout seat bottom actually has a pressure relief that is set at just over 2 psi.

And if you're really adventurous, you can mount a Minn Kota to Prowler!

I'm with @_WW_ , $800 for a float tube seems insane! Then there is this tidbit:

"Built to withstand the rigors of 25 days on the water per year."

So what happens after 25 days? Does it get too wet if you use it too much?
I also find the 25 days comment to not quite have the effect they hope it does.

On the price: folks here overall seem happy to pay $1000 more than this price for a similar craft, but closed on both ends and a set of cheap oars on it.
