Pregame fun

Went out to another lake this morning. Same deal, my usual leeches and such didn't really work. Going back to "loch" style fishing I was doing yesterday I rigged up a sink tip with a 2 fly rig. I ran a big bushy thin mintish fly on a top dropper to draw attention and 3.5' behind that the smaller sz 10 muddled hares ear on point that took most of the fish. The dropper fly was best when the sun was out. Only 2 flies, I had to cast a fair distance, so I took my 9' 6wt redington with a cortland 10' s3 line, as it throws a more open loop a good distance without much work and there less chance of tangles. The two fly rig out performed either fly fished individually. I would have never though to do this, but I learn so much from folks here. Also, at one spot I wasn't having any luck so I reeled in, bam, fish on. A few times I ended up with my rod under my pit and was pulling with both hands. I would never have tought of that except for you streamer and saltwater fishers.
