Sorta fishing-related

Not enjoying it for a great many reasons. To add to this, my tuna trip a few days ago, the offshore water temp was 70f (it's usually in the low 60s in tuna town).

Not here for debates, conspiracy theories or arguments. Just observations on the current situation.

Overall its been fairly close to average out here this summer, but new record high today and looking like a new record tomorrow as well.

We have had a bunch of record high low temps(it never got cold at night) and that is rough on the snow pack.

108 is damn hot, even for Portland. Easterly down sloping winds coming out of the Gorge and high pressure. Let's hope no fires get started in the next 72 hours!

They've already started

Same here. Someone backed over a power box near Benton City on the flank of Rattlesnake Mountain. These fire-fighting planes were flying overhead all day and pulling water from the Columbia River near our house in Richland, Washington. What started the fires on the west side of the Gorge?

Someone told me when we were watching them load water from the river that they are crop dusters outfitted for fire fighting. There were five of them flying in formation all day. Very impressive planes. The same person told me the unit is stationed in our area for the fire season. I’ve seen them flying overhead three different times this summer so that seems credible.IMG_2567.jpeg

Yeah, hot in Portland today. Had some friends come over whose ac went out. Hoping ours holds together, as my wife doesn’t do well in the heat. Felt like being back in Tucson when I singed my hand on a doorknob that had been in the sun.

This is why I left PDX Sunday. Back up north where we only barely made it into the upper 80's.

Very hot weather sucks. Wildfires suck even more.

Cmon, who doesn't like a good conspiracy theory!!??
Well, considering I've already been seeing in other media channels I browse that the Lahaina fires were caused by the government as an act of genocide against Hawai'ian people... I'm kind of exhausted by them currently.

Don't forget that they (the fires) were started with high energy laser beams (DEWs) with ultimate goal of creating 15 minute eco friendly smart communities.

It's really remarkable how quickly folks come up with this stuff.

A lot of people don’t know this about the EP33R Space Laser Unit, but you can recalibrate the i4 motor and turn off the crystal prism in the ruby cylinder to lessen the laser intensity and still use all of the tracking abilities in the DM9X GPS radar. The non lethal tracking setup is excellent for finding a lost remote control or ditch pickle hidden in the weeds.
