yeah, but no shot at any sort of numbers like one would get if in a boat. Back when I fished for bass mostly from shore on he Columbia, I would get a handful every year.

Did it back in the day. Had a good shore spot below one of the dams; it was a great way to use-up bass plastic baits that weren't productive for bass. I'd cast, the Kids would reel them in and split the rewards. But as Randy said, a boat provides a huge advantage.

$164k, 16,000+ fish. Someone found the pikeminnow honey hole.

Only 200 fish nets you $1550 and achieves the top earning ($10) tier.

I think if you want to make money fishing, pike minnow isn't your best choice.
But if you have nothing going on and did your research, you could probably make as much as you could with a shitty job, but with more overhead costs and less time off.

My aim would be more towards helping defray campground costs while we visit the area and see the sights when not fishing.
They bite in early morning and I'm an early riser.

And just don’t think you’ll go to the spot that is hot right now near The Dalles. According to Outdoor GPS…those seasoned guys anchor in some really fast water.
