Perseids tonight!!

I'll be in a recliner in the yard with a warm hoodie, a red LED headlamp and a shotgun on my lap. The huge cougar spotted in my yard last week has initiated a little extra caution around here lately....

Be careful, Ive. No damning cloud cover or prowling cougars here, so yay.

I stayed out until I got cold. Around 10:00 the moon came over the eastern mountains and washed things out but I did see some dandies. One streaked across much of the visible sky, broke into 3 pieces and the flaming debris fell vertically until it burned out. Worth the price of admission-and the chill!
