Thats interesting. Still looked pretty green last weekend which was after the report, but its been pretty chilly as well around here so who knows.
Who is going to do the first trip?

Does it have to pass (heh) twice before they take down the barrels and caution tape? I drove by a few hours ago but I didn't glance over and after spending 3 hours waiting for costco to put tires on my truck it was dark so didn't see on the way back
Typically that has been the rule.
If one can get ahold of the Deception pass state park manager he would probably know.

Does he work out of the park office? I wonder if one could just stop in and ask?

Just my thoughts as a biologist, but not a specialist in water quality:
Those results may indicate that the bloom has collapsed. The dying cells can release large amounts of toxins as they disintegrate. Anatoxin-a is a less-stable molecule that should clear quickly after the algae, while microcystin is fairly stable and can take a while to degrade.
There may be light at the end of this tunnel!

That was the last test of the year. Per Park Mgr Jason Armstrong, "we will not open the lake until the bloom dissipates." I guess we'll have to rely on the WA State Parks alerts, or member verification that the warnings have been removed from the boat launch...
I'll keep an eye out. Earlier this week it was still deep green with some neon green streak accents that really pulled it all together
