“ Howards Catch”

A retirement gift for the custodian at the museum I spent my career working at. Howard told me many fly fishing stories and I shared mine. I loved that guy he was fun. This was in the 90’s i believe. He had some stories of the Metolius - this is from long ago when he camped there and were allowed limited catch and keep.

Variety is my thing. Sometimes large or small , expressive and loose with the brush or somewhat exacting yet hopefully still painterly. I write a bit. Discovered a poem I wrote just cuz. I have found it just comes to me and write it down- so quickly I do not know where it comes from? Often goofy>

Oh Yeah! At sunset,
I'll have my long handled
Number 12 round brush
White paper plains
I'll even have the
sun behind me,
The light will
Be perfect

Thank you for the acknowledgement! I think I peaked while ago. Takes money to make money and it is a major complication now… the world turns donut?
