I'm passing this reel off as a line holder; the drag - when you hook a large fish that pulls line quickly off the reel, is inconsistent which repeatedly loads and then unloads the rod. I took the reel apart, cleaned and relubricated it but didn't fix the issue. Maybe Orvis has a fix?
The reel is cast aluminum, the large arbor is great for picking up line quickly and you can spin the spool to pick up line faster. Set up for LHR. The backing is old and probably should be replaced but it's been out the tip top of my rod many times. Pouch and pamphlet, no box.
I've listed the reel at $55.00, CONUS, if you're passing through Ephrata and we can meet up I will cut the price to 40.00.

Some rash here and there but overall, it's still pretty clean except for the spool counterweight.

I didn't notice until I decided to replace this reel that the spool counterweight is missing some paint. Probably painted rather than anodized?
