Oregon

Spent the weekend with my buddy on a gorgeous Oregon river. He has a cabin on the upper that makes for a most enjoyable base camp.

On Saturday, we floated 13 miles of river in my Striker and caught gorgeous wild trout on dry/dropper setups. Fishing out the front of the raft was definitely the most effective method as well as keeping us on time. Although, this river trucks right along so if we were running late, just don't stop and you'll get there quick. Definitely the most technical water the Striker has seen. A couple tricky class 2+ that would have been bad news if you hit them wrong. The whitewater aspect gave it more of an adventure than just fishing. It was really fun!
The clouds made for some good fishing. We each also had an exceptional fish. That's never bad. :)

Sunday we floated the lower 8 miles of the same stretch so we didn't get the whitewater adrenaline rush. It was also back to summer so bright sun and it ended up being about 82. Fishing was tough. More boats on the water too. We only got a couple each. Still a great time and it was good to be on a river. I hadn't had the Striker on a river since February.

Some will know where this is which is fine. It's no secret and it's a challenging enough river that I don't think this will be considered hot-spotting.
And if you want to know where this, is just PM me. I won't be discussing it in the comments. Thanks!
