Opinions on 9' 5wt rod for indicators on stillwaters

I have fished a 10 ft 5 wt rod for indicator fishing with chironomids, etc. for over 25 years. It was built for me on a G. Loomis blank by an expert rodbuilder. It really is in the sweetspot for me, since it has enough backbone to land 12 lb trout and is still lots of fun when you catch more typical 12-18 inch fish.

I know I said I decided I didn't need one. I didn't. I've been fishing every rod and line I have lately just seeing what they can and can't do. I was looking for something that would fish in the wind better, and figured I had 6wt's, but a 4 was more fun for the average stocker trout that consume...
