Been thinking about my grumpy friend looking down and telling me to get my phat ass back out on the water!

Maybe an event on the Yakima this fall or better yet let's do a group thing out Montana and fish some of the stuff he loved!

Something like the upper Ruby river, Madison.. or wherever..

Let me know if that would interest any of you!

I'll bring the case of Jim Beam to drink in his honor.. a case of 375mls so we can toast him on the river throughout the day!

It can be, early spring fishing is about flexibility, as I'm sure most of you know. You can wake up to snow.. fish in the sun all day, but have a hail or lightning storm.. and then sit around the fire smoking cigars (me) and drinking whisk(e)y!

I've had all of the above.. totally worth it though, you might nymph all day, until you see a hatch.. then cast streamers in the low light. Streamers all day is fine too.. I have at least 3 rods rigged up if I'm floating!

Once we get an idea of the number of people we can plan. I think 5 to 7 days for the MT trip, not inclucing travel time. For the Yak a long weekend!

I would love to join you, but I took a week off for fishing in early October and won't get another chunk of time off until June ish.

Oh, man, I'd love to. Just took a week off for hunting though. If you do anything local to his previous home waters (sky, stilly, snoqualmie area) I may be able to join in.
