"Official" fishing video thread

Did these videos a few years back. Nothing professional or noteworthy. For @Old Man : Indeed no talking, just fly fishing, probably questionable technique and in Montana.

I really don't mind video's. It's just that all of us on here know how to fly fish and don't need a travel log on where he is fishing. I also know the the scenery is quite nice in Montana along with Washington's green areas. I probably watch these videos or I won't. It depends how I feel.

On another note, I do have a long video on the first Trout bums outing down in South America. I still watch it every once in a while. I just think that I'll go bury my head in the sand and stay away for a while.

I was just telling my brother yesterday that I talked to Chris from the video series on our little dead end side road a couple years back. I talk to most people who come by as they are rare and I noticed this guy knew his fishing. We starting talking about fishing destinations and he had a list that was unreal. He told me who he was and I told him I had seen his videos and was super envious of their amazing trips !

Talk about a cool encounter. Usually I get druggies down the road..this time, a real worldwide flyfishing guy

There are a handful of fly films that I have watched eleventy billion times. Here are two from that list. Unsurprisingly, both were done by the Felt Sole Media crew. I guess I just like how they film stuff.

This is a short one about a Tarpon guide in FL. I am not generally interested in saltwater flats fishing, but this film makes me want to go. The B&W filming, the slo-mo, the Pixies cover done on piano, love it all.

The second is the Kamchatca film, Eastern Rises. Holy shit did I want to go to Kamchatka for a few years after seeing this. I'm sure it's not as cool and unique as it once was. And with Russia being Russia (and my paycheck being my paycheck), I suspect I never get a chance to go. But this movie let me imagine what it would be like if I did.

Eastern Rises isn't online anywhere for free. So you'll have to pony up $10 to download it if you want to watch. Here's the trailer:

This one always gets me jacked up. Tarpon from a float tube....so cool.

That's on the Rio Grande de Matagalpa, right where a man made canal cuts through the jungle and connects to a large shallow laggon that is connected to Pearl Lagoon.
It's a good spot for Tarpon, Snook, various Jacks and even Goliath Grouper.
:)

Haven't seen that one in a while but love it. Two great lines from 'ole baw

"It might make you a guide but it doesn't make you a fisherman."

"I make a million bucks a year, you ain't gonna tell me shit."

Awesome.

A couple older videos from Mangum that keep me excited.

We moved to SC last year, got ~100 days on the water fishing for reds so far. Lots to learn still.

That bulls on top video always makes me nostalgic. It's not often they're that accessible with poppers, but when it does happen, you remember every fish.

My wife took a vid of me fishing at Rocky Ford and if I can figure out how to get the vid off her camera and into this post yer gonna LYAO
