OFFICIAL 2026 NFL SEASON DISCUSSION

Tua Turndaballova...
Falcons played tough, but no can do-a with Tua

Let me simplify it further, score more than your opponent. try that. usually works for teams.
Damn dude...
That makes like, total sense

:)
That's why he's paid the big bucks as a fluent NFL faux analyst.

Chiefs still undefeated and atop the AFC, as I predicted last week (maybe I should be paid big bucks as a fluent NFL faux analyst).

Go Chiefs

I was busy roping coho, so only got to listen to part of the game, I knew if was gonna be a close game, but damn...

Maye looked good against the Raiders yesterday. The defense was very good even with four cornerbacks out. No one was keeping Bowers down. However, te rewst of the Raiders recieving corps is well below league average.

Good to see my beloved Patsies put a couple of good weeks together.

Injuries are mounting a bit. Looks like Will Campbell will be missing some time. No one knows about the CB's. Henderson was injured yesterday. Lomu looked pretty good at LT yesterday but the Raiders don't seem to have a great pass rush outside of Crosby who lines up over the right tackle. We will see in the coming weeks.

Raiders need to collect a few more years worth of high 1st round draft picks, then ...maybe. Their schedule looks a bit bumpy the next few weeks.

Go Bison !!!

😁

In tonight's battle of even toed ungulates, I've been ruminating regarding ruminant running games, and give the edge to the Bison.

Bison... the proper and correct ungulate underdog and ruminant to root for.

😁

That's all you got after the Chicken lose !!!!! It's aways as said a bit quiet on the home front after a Chicken beating . :ROFLMAO:

Go Chiefs !!!!!! Go Rams !!!!!!

I'll be rooting for the Bills tonight for multiple reasons. I guess in that sense (and perhaps others) you could call me a Buffle-head

Yea, losing Jacoby Meyers as a #1 receiver hurt…we don’t have a true #1…Ashton Jeanty needed to sit out that hame and get his ankle right…no running game makes it easy on the defense to dial up pressure on the qb

Hard to win when you turn the ball over and don't run it well...
A missed catch by JSN and coming up a foot short by Kupp at the end turned out to make it a loss.

Bison...

Their defensive gameplan was odd. Maye is the best deep ball thrower in the game and yet they played man a lot. He absolutely demolished them. The standard gameplan vs. Maye is to play with 2 deep safeties. Cover 2, Cover 6/ quarters. Make him throw short. That is what the teams who have beat him have done. The Raiders foolishly determined that they would buck that trend.

If he sees 1v1 on the outside, Maye is going to throw the ball deep every time. And he will make that throw perfectly nearly every time. Unless you have Deion Sanders, I would recomend that teams not play 1v1 on the outside. The Pats WR's are not that good. However, Maye is so good throwing deep, it won't matter. The Raiders gave up two long balls by playing 1 v 1 on Kyle Williams. Williams is a one trick pony. He can really run. It was inexplicable that Williams got that look twice. Leonard called a very poor game IMO.

I will be interested to see how the Jets decide to play defense this week. It seems like some version of 2 deep safeties is warrented. The Pats are not all that good running the ball so it makes sense to play 2 safeties back.

Defensively, the Pats are a solid team. They are solid at all 3 levels. Their D-backs are their strength. Even with up to 5 CB's out, they were able to keep the Raiders to 17 points. Cousins is no Peyton Manning but they really bottled up everyone but Bowers (a beast). The Raiders can't run and they were behind. Nice to see.

If the Pats can continue to improve their ball security and get some luck turning over the opposition, they could make a bit of a run here.
