Didn't get to see much, but every time I tuned in it seemed like an ex-Niner was playing for Denver. I'm just glad we got Greenlaw back, looked like they could have used him.

To paraphrase the great Mark Twain, reports of the Chiefs death are an exaggeration. I think missing the playoffs actually did them a lot of good. After playing more games than any other team over the previous 5+ years, the extra rest may have been a blessing. They came out with energy and enthusiasm, unlike their opponent, who looked overwhelmed (Bo know turnovers). Walker was a beast, but the much maligned O line made it possible. Defense was swarming. An overall strong showing for the AFC West co-leaders and team with the youngest roster in the league. Great start to the season!!!

Sure wasn't, at least for dem Broncos.

Bum knee? Mahomes didn't seem too concerned, that first scramble for a touchdown showed some real toughness and confidence. The O-line did a great job and that undrafted rookie held his own against the over-hyped Broncos defense . It's only one game, but I'll take it.

Impressive first game for the Chiefs , and especially Mahomes coming back from that ACL . Plus beating the best team in the AFC . :ROFLMAO: As you say , it's one game .

They pay more to players not on their roster, than actually on their roster...so yeah...Dullfins would, but don't have any cash.

The 2 things that stuck with me were:
1. Walker, he had another gear last night. His ability to square his shoulders, move laterally find a seam and tear through it is unparalleled across the few games and RBs that I've seen sof far. There were times when his direction cuts looked like they broke several laws of physics and biology.
2. KC defense ability to swarm; I don't recall seeing a Denver ball carrier in space all night. It was like they had 15 or 16 players on the field.

That said I wouldn't count Denver out or KC in at this stage.... too early for any of that stuff. Enjoy or bemoan the game for what it was; game 1 of the season.
