OFFICIAL 2026 NFL SEASON DISCUSSION

Ravens dodged an expensive bullet keeping those two first round picks, with a damaged goods tag Raiders will be hard pressed to get a single first for him.
Starting to think that the Niner brain trust has been going to Rodger's Ayahuasca retreats...their big catch so far a banged up possession receiver closing in on 33?
With the current 300M salary cap per team = $9,600,000,000 in play for the coming season = only reason a mediocre injured QB like Jones can get 44M a season, and underlines the position being the single most difficult to play at an elite level in all of professional sports.

Early free agent signings are always expensive...FOMO is a real thing for some
teams. A 15 million 1 year deal for Riq Woolen ?
Not sure about that, but if he plays well, he could get a long term deal out of it.
A lot of big bucks, overpayment always happen on day one of free agency, better values to be had later this week.

It’s late in free agency, but I’m still available. Two bad knees so I might not pass the physical or drug test, but I represent excellent value without much monetary commitment. In other words, I’m cap friendly.
If they ever go to jersey advertising in the future, I’d be happy to represent Metamucil, Centrum Silver, Aspercreme etc.
My agent tells me the Raiders or Ravens are interested.

I too am available, and my 40 time is under 40...not by much, but under.
:)

There is no such thing as a bad 1 year contract.

Maybe for the players...play a hunch win a bunch...

Still available, as I turned down an offer from the Jets to backup Geno.

I was afraid I'd have to play...

We’ll see if it works out…Hendricksen has missed significant time the last couple seasons and has history of soft tissue injury…and i cant count how many times a first round pick has not even stayed in the league after a couple years…you know what you were getting with Maxx. Personally,I hope we keep him…he will be motivated to prove the Ravens wrong…dude has a serious motor…

Doubt if 2 1st round picks are in play anymore...but Jerry Jones is still out there...

yea, Hendricksen is a sack artist whereas Cosby is a game wrecker and a beast against the run. Be interesting to see how this all plays out.
Crosby had a meniscus repair vs a tear trim, which takes longer to recover from but usually has a better long term outcome. I had the opposite experience, a tear repaired only to re-rip two years later = more meniscus removed than if the the initial rip had been trimmed.
Raiders are in a good place for the first time in decades, a heavy ask however to play a rookie QB his first year, and always best done behind a stout O line with a solid running game to take the pressure off while coming up to speed.

Niners just signed Dre Greenlaw to rejoin the team, when paired with Fred Warner they were monsters together.
Also added a highly regarded DT from Dallas known for being a high motor, high character player.
Next priorities a speedster receiver and a man on man corner.
Niners will be in the thick of the NFC West this next season.

Quietly filling in the weak spots. Evans was splashy but it really looks more like a $16 mill one year deal which is reasonable if he can coach up that young receiver group, which I assume they will add to in the draft. I hope they have a plan to replace Moore, having decent special teams was nice. Lots of 4th rounders where it would be smart to find some future OL and DB help.
