It’s amazing us arm chair referees, we get 5 or 6 angles to see on replays , and those refs get to see one bang bang play , and have to make or not make a call . These calls have been going on since they started playing football games .
My dearest armchair QB,

I hope this finds you in good health and of stable mind. I am writing from the battlefields of my automatic recliner couch....but, yeah, exactly....or do you mean the hit on Daniels earlier that was clearly out of bounds with no call? yet Daniels didn't complain to the refs but got up and went about his business....or the clear pop to Goff after his int to the chops that wasn't called?

Mahomes has never needed special treatment, but definitely gets it, and gets it in critical moments. Both calls in question resulted in TDs on those particular drives.

If Goof tosses another pick that might be it for the Lions...
Best keep Teddy loose....

Well Goof didn't toss the pick, but the pick got tossed...
Commoders....
Go Wagner !!!

Lions are getting their asses handed to them.. turnovers haven't helped!

There's the Goof pick...
I knew he had it in him.
😁

Comanders came to play, Goff goffed it too many times, 5 turnovers to 0, yikes!

Go Bobby go, I still don't understand why we got rid of him!

Dear just another armchair QB,

Mahomes does not get "special treatment", I have seen a lot more hits on Mahomes that could have been called but not called than the other way. The first hit you reference was clearly leading with the helmet and Mahomes was hit on the chinstrap (look at the replay and Mahomes' head snap back). The drive resulted in a field goal, not a touchdown. The second call, I will grant you, and I stated in an above post, was a bad call, but it was a first down play, so Chiefs didn't "need" the call to keep the ball, they had 3 more downs. It was not "special treatment". Like Jordan, like Gretzky, like Brady, and on and on, Mahomes works the refs; not doing his job if he didn't. Others will learn.

Wasn't the refs who sacked Stroud 8 (yes eight) times, wasn't the refs who missed 1 field goal, 1 PAT, and had another field goal blocked, wasn't the refs who only scored 12 points. The Chiefs outplayed Houston, especially in the second half after the rust wore off. Chiefs deserved the win. Had it gone the other way, I would say the same. Should the Chiefs lose, it will be because they got beat.

Edit, PS: When Elway complained to referee Gordon McCarter, the referee made an announcement, saying: “Any further crowd-noise problem will result in a charged timeout against Kansas City. Thank you for your cooperation.”

Cheers
Chiefs would have won and played better. Refs were still ass. Both can be true.

Absolutely agree, but, ass and "special treatment" are 2 different things.
