If your favorite team never holds a lead in a game and gives up 42 points... you might need to lower expectations.

Or be content knowing that over 3/4 of the defensive starters were out?

Seriously... why do you spend so much time just shitting on other teams? Has to be exhausting. I watch football to enjoy it, not shit on everyone else.

Geno played out of his mind... he's the main reason the 'hawks were able to hang around as long as they did. He got the ball out quick and on target. He extended plays when he had to. Metcalf had another 'hundo' game. Walker was able to get off a few nice runs.

Gotta say that the DPI no call on Metcalf's TD, the one that looked like a wrestling takedown, was the worst I've seen all season. But the officiating wasn't reason the Lions won. The Lions were the better team last night: their offense was balanced running and passing. Goff was perfect. Their D was able to make more stops than Seattle -- not that that's saying much.

Can't wait to see these teams get healthy and play again.

It was a charitable comment, gentle even. Giving NFC WEST division rivals a hard time comes with the territory.

I mostly agree. I think the Lions were the better team as things were last night. Would love to see a playoff rematch with two fully healthy teams. I think it'd be an amazing game to watch. I think the Vikings in December is going to be a good one, too.

The refs were awful, though. They made bad calls and no calls on both teams. Just frustratingly inconsistent. The OPI against Lockett standing out as another head scratcher, and pretty much wiped away the chance they had at a comeback.

A stat I found interesting, Seahawks set the NFL record for most first downs (38) in a loss.

I agree, it was somewhat gentle , and comes with the territory . I have been on the receiving end of a bit of ridicule when it comes to making a negative comment about the Seachickens , whoops I mean Seahawks . :D But also have to consider the amount of Seahawk fans on this forum . Some are just a bit more touchy about their team than others .

Fans of one win teams...are thankful for the Jaguars
🤣
Bless your heart.

The 24 hour period after a c-hawk or 9er loss is especially sensitive. This is why I'm so empathetic in the wording of my posts. I confess I have been a little too hard on the Mariners though.

Hey John, Jerry here. We seem to share a common problem. This DimeBrite and his ilk need to be silenced before our fan bases are further harmed.
:ROFLMAO:

I guess I prefer analysis and talking about actual football instead of name calling and all that. Not sensitive, I love ball-busting. i just feel these threads tend to mostly trend towards people getting their jollies by being negative. Just not how I like to spend my time, personally. Which is why by mid season, I usually move away from these threads.

It's not just a "my team" thing either. Hell, a lot of my favorite players are on rival teams. I just experience football differently than others here want to I suppose.

I really enjoy detailed football analysis as well, YouTube has great content for this. I'd never pretend to be an Xs and Os expert and don't go down that road, except to post links relevant to a big game outcome. This being a fly fishing forum, I just support my team and give the division rivals some hell (plus Raiders for family reasons :ROFLMAO:). In no way should my NFL posts detract from anyone enjoying football or their favorite team. At worst my content might temporarily heighten a sense of anguish you already felt watching a tough game.

That one handed sack was good last night...
More of those please.
😁

Yeah well... Your team lost to the Bears. More of that please 🥳

Also, sad Kupp is starting to show his age more and more. He's been such a fun player to watch over the years.

As you know the LA RAMS have more players on IR than any other team this year, including Kupp. We'll get many of our guys back in time for the first c-hawk game on November 3rd. Kupp will be there for us to enjoy.

Me, I'm not about negativity, except about Aaron Rovers, well and maybe the RRRRaiders; OK, don't car much for the Broncos either, or Philly, or Baltimore, of course, full of negativity and hate for the Cowboys, and... well a bunch of other teams that might stand in the way of the Three Pete, but other than that, I'm not about negativity!!!

GO THREEPEAT!!!
