NY Times on Wyoming

Life of the Party
I( have not been to Jackson Hole in about 10 years. Even back then, the change from "sleepy" town near YNP to A list destination was startling. Even crazier and more expensive now

My son lives there and is blessed to own a home. The job market and economics are whacky.

Lots of crazy outdoor enthusiasts though. Fun place to live if you can figure out the housing

I don't like being cynical, but I'd enjoy the poetic justice of a community of billionaires getting tax break after tax break and then . . . poof! No infrastructure - worn out roads and bridges, no police, no fire protection, no service industry to serve or maintain billionaire estates. Nothing! I'd like to see that play out.

That area has a long history of the super wealthy doing things the locals don't approve of, like buying and preserving the land that is now Grand Teton National Park. Unfortunately I don't think this newer class of super wealthy is as into metaphorically "planting trees for future generations."
