Not Again!

Fart! : )
Think to yourself. What is the piece of gear that you seem to always lose? For me its multitools. I know I have unintentionally donated multitools over the years since I can't seem to own the same one for more than a year. What is your piece that you always forget or lose?

I don't know that I lose them so much as I misplace them around the house/shop. But I can never seem to find nippers/line-cutters when I want them. So I end up having dozens of them kicking around.

As a kid, fishing the south Puget Sound off my grandparent's community pier... it was knives. I'd cut bait and set the knive next to it on the dock. A few minutes later, I'd bump/kick with my foot on accident and watch it splash and disappear. But since then, nothing much really. Only thing I sometimes scramble to find is my fishing license. It goes from kayak, to boat, to bank, to hunting deer (they combine them), to grouse, etc. Guess I should keep it in my wallet, but have had bad luck with the ink fading too fast in there for some reason.

What I don't get is why the WDFW does not have an option/app that allows the license holder to keep it on their cell phone? In the land of Microsoft, Amazon, Google, etc. this should be easy to do...

I got checked once and since I bought online, I had a record on my phone in my email. The WDFW agent was fine with that.

I don't lose shit but I know Evan loses your fish at the net 😂
Not to be confused with me. I don't believe I have failed at netting a Daniel Ocean fish in my career.

In Oregon we have an app and it's all on there. I haven't had a printed license in years.

Probably because of stuff like this:

Same for Utah, but I typically have the paper copy as well. The app sometimes loses your downloaded information and I don't want to be caught like that without cell service.

I've never had line nippers last more than one trip. Mainly because I never have a zinger handy.

Thermometer. I put it in the water to take a reading and forget about it. I've tried bright colored lanyards, but still keep walking off without the danged things.
