No time to acclimate!

Life of the Party
So typical of NCW is a 20+ degree jump in temps for the upcoming week. I just saw predictions up to 87 degrees. Up until this week we have had a few low to mid 60s and some rain. It was a great spring while it lasted. Once again, IMHO, some of the best hatches of chironomids have happened. I would love to see a general lake opener on April 1 before the 80s and 90s take their toll.

I wish many of the general opener lakes, at least on the westside would be open year round.
The Oct 31st closing date and the general opener date leave a lot of good fishing untouched in the early fall and spring. There wouldn't be that many other anglers either.
