This summer seems to be stretching on forever. Hard to believe we're going to get into the middle of oct without having any significant rain yet this fall.

My chores list loves it being so dry (nobody likes spreading gravel in the rain). But the rivers need water.

Don't forget we had a very long wet cold spring, and have had very early wet falls the last few years too... we're owed this We will get our 6 months of rain eventually, but I'm not ready yet.

Here in Montana, we had snow at this time last year. The next few days are supposed to be in the 70's. But we have had some rain and it rained hard.

We are closing in on 120 days of no meaninful rainfall around my part of the OP...
That is unusual, not unheard of but close.
