No Fly Fishing at Puyallup Sportsman Show?

I have enjoyed fly fishing specific seminars at the Sportsman show, but cannot find any fly seminars on the schedule.

Can anyone point me to a section I may be missing that has fly fishing specific education?

There was absolutely no fly fishing at the Portland show last year.. I think fly only businesses are struggling and there is no money in doing shows unless they are fly only shows..

Quite a few “business and non-business” entities subscribe to this business model these days. It’s the number one reason some are dropping like flies. 😉
 
The worst thing about the Puyallup show is running into people. It’s hard to see them with that many people attending the show wearing full camo.

Plus the livestreaming to their instaface accounts, showing that they're at the show, in their booth, in camo gear...

Back when I was going to this show, I'd park at the lot over by Portland Meadows and rode the shuttle in. Parking was easy and the shuttle took you close to the door. Funny story. One year as we were getting ready to leave the show I realized I'd lost my car keys. I went to the lost and found. They had a drawer full of lost keys but after sorting through the pile I couldn't find mine. I keep a hidden spare so I gave up the hunt and took the shuttle back to my rig. As I walked up to it I realized the engine was still running and sure enough my key was in the ignition. I got in with the hidden spare, sigh of relief, and saw I had burned up a quarter tank of gas but the inside was nice and warm on a cold February day.
 
That must have been a while ago. Because your truck would have been gone if it was left like that these past few years.
 
Speaking of leaving cars at risk of theft, over my first 53 years of driving, I never forgot to lock up my car or truck. But when I replaced my old pickup 4 years ago with a newish RAV4, I’ve left it unlocked many, many times. Sometimes in sketchy areas. It has one of those “smart” electronic key fob things. No ordinary metal key. When you get out and close the door, you lock it by either pushing a rubber button on the outside door handle, or pushing a button on the fob. I often forget to do either, especially when I’m unloading stuff. 53 years of pushing a lock down on the inside of the door when I park, is a muscle memory that doesn’t transition well to these friggin modern electronic gadgets.
 
Otter, my 2011 Ford has the same electronics your RAV4 has. I am in the habit of pushing the lock button on the fob. The wrapping it in
aluminum foil to stop the signal coming from the fob or invest in a Faraday cover. The only thing that is not electronic is the speedometer.

I'm having trouble accessing my TickTock.. the thing on the wall with two hands and 12 numbers on it.. I guess I'll have to reboot it! I think I can just remove the batteries and put them back in and hang it up again....
