I'm getting this ready to list on CL/FB/etc. Still need to tidy it up, take photos, etc. But I figured I would mention it here first in case anyone was looking for a small truck.
-------------
Selling my 1998 Ford Ranger XLT. 4wd, 3.0L V6, ~110k miles. Bedrug liner, Snugtop canopy, yakima crossbars, and tow hitch (4 pin). Extra Gator SFX tri-fold soft tonneau cover and tire chains also included. Lots of tread left on the Cooper Discoverer A/T3 tires (probably have less than 10k miles on them).
Body is in fine shape for the age. But it was a truck that was driven, not a collectors piece. So there are a few small paintchips, scratches, etc. Biggest body issue is that the canopy door has worn through the paint on the tailgate top where it rubs. I can explain more if anyone is interested. Other than that, no major exterior dents/damage. Interior is in nice shape for the age. Nothing gross or torn up. I believe I am either the 2nd or 3rd owner. Engine runs strong, AC blows cold. Few creaks and whatnot appropriate for its age. Only significant issue is that currently is that there's a big crack in the windshield due to me being an idiot with a long board. I've driven with it like that for multiple years. But it should probably be replaced at some point. Minor issue is that the underside of the center armrest is cracked. It's a common issue with this generation of Rangers and is an easy fix. I always meant to rig up a reinforcement piece to keep it from happening, but never got around to it.
The canopy and tonneau cover is the way to go. Canopy on for the winter, switch to the tonneau in the summer for yardwork, etc. I love the bedrug bed-liner so much that I've bought one for my f150. It's so nice on the knees if you have to crawl around in the bed. For that matter, I bought one of the tonneau covers for the f150 as well because the one on the Ranger worked so well.
KBB values these between $4500-6500, FB listings seem even a bit higher for similar ones to this. And from what I've seen/heard, that's accurate. I'll probably list at the higher end. But I'd take $5500 for a PNWFF sale if I didn't have hassle of replacing the windshield.
Heads up, you will need to stop by the licensing office (there's one like 10 blocks from my house) and do the title transfer or get a trip permit because I'm keeping the plates.
