NFR: Youtube Commercial Free

Cliff

Hi, I just found out youtube can be had commercial free for $11.99 a month. I watch a lot of YT on my TV via Roku. But It looks like this is primarily geared towards mobile users with cell phones, laptops, e-readers, etc. I may be not understanding the techno jargon on the channel, but that seems to be the case. I have no intention of using the YT application on my cell phone or e-reader, but I would like to be able to skip the ads on my TV viewing of YT. Does anyone have this subscription and does it work with their platform on TV, also? I'm not talking about the Youtube TV Channel, but simply watching the platform on my television.

Thanks,
Cliff

You need to create a YT account if you don't have one and are just browsing via the web. You should then be able to sign in to your YouTube account on the Roku/smart TV, etc just like you would for Netflix.
If you subscribed to Premium, it will be ad free.

I believe your YouTube PW is your Google PW.

Hi @cliff…We have commercial free YouTube and mostly watch only on our smart TV. I make a bunch of music playlists using my tv remote so when company comes over I just let the tv stream. We love it. It’s totally worth $12 a month.
