NFR NFL 2023 Season

I have to admit that I really like Andy Reid…

As good as Mahomes is, that game was won by Kelce, Pacheco and the Chefs defense…the Niners will have their hands full…and cannot get behind like they did against the Pack & Lions
I think Mahomes had a bit to do with the win , he made some pretty good throws , and finally some great catches that were not happening this year with the Chiefs . IMO is was great team win .

The Chiefs v Ravens game was about penalties and turnovers. Ravens had some really dumb penalties and turned it over 3 times.

Chiefs had 3 total penalties and no turnovers. The 49ers v Lions game was just a close game. Both those teams are good. I am a take the points guy. However, if the WR catches the very catchable ball, Campbell does not look so bad. They all know that's how they are going to play. They play hard for him. I can't fault him due to the outcome of a dropped ball.

The long ball that could have been picked and then turned into a big play was a real killer. Followed by a fumble, it really changed the leverage in the game. the Lions no longer dictated anything.

In the end, leverage is why taking points is often the better choice. Leverage and advantage on the scoreboard matter to strategy. It's not a video game.

Conversely, being a bit more unpredictable (run vs pass) on 3rd down, knowing that you will go for it on 4th has it's advantage when in comes to leverage and strategy. It did not play out well this time for the Lions. I remember times when my Patsies were willing to run on 3rd and 4 ( back when the Patriot offense was professional grade). If the advantage is there you should take it. Maybe, that is really the lesson. If the advantage is their take it. You then need to execute. Worry about 4th down on 4th down.

Of all the sports talking heads, I probably dislike him the most...next to Steven A...
When it comes to dislike, EVERYBODY is next to Steven A! That the same network that has long given us the gold standard of Hannah Storm and now the beautiful and erudite Mina Kimes, is now showcasing the theatrical Steven A as a sports icon is just incomprehensible. He makes Howard Cosell seem almost likable.

Mina Kimes after Pete Carroll was fired...

Everybody hates the guy that’s usually right on with takes on games , players etc . I like listening to him for one reason , he knows what he’s talking about . Sure he’s obnoxious. Say what you will , but he’s a knowledgeable guy .

I thought the narrative was she ruined him, and the Chiefs as a whole, I saw a comparison on here to Yoko, well, guess we gotta change the narrative when it no longer suits our purpose.

Cheers and GO Chiefs

I hope this is sarcasm

Travis Kelce...... His jersey # may reflect what numbers he is in her little black book.

Comparing KC and the Ravens
Ravens have the better team on paper. They showed zero poise - like they hadn’t been on the big stage much
KC - lots of poise. There experience really showed through
I’m not sure who I’m pulling for in the big one
If I was betting I’d have to go with Mahomes. Smart money for the reason listed above
I don’t gamble

They do now at 24-24
Vegas sets the line to encourage betting for both teams. They take 10% on each bet.
If there is a line, then the tie score on the game scoreboard is not the betting score. You have to deduct the betting line from the game score to get the betting score. If the team you bet on is favored by 3.5, then when the game starts your betting scoreboard should have a -3.5 (your team) to 0 the other team. They like those half points in spreads because that way there is no tie. When there is a tie then all bets are canceled. You don't make money on canceled bets.

The NFL could really screw shit up if they had a play that was worth a half point. :)

If I was betting I’d have to go with Mahomes.
In 1985 Da Bears covered the spread, including double digits upwards of 20 for what I seem to remember was 11 weeks. That was my first and only season betting on the NFL.

I'd like to see the 49ers take it for the story. Betting against KC just seems foolish.
