I mean, exceptions prove the rule.

That said, I doubt he's much of a billionaire any more after (if at all) giving away his company. So I'm not sure the example works. Don't get me wrong, he's still richer than any of us ever will be. But that's not Tepper or Musk or Walton level.
Bobber down, set the hook!

A little off topic, but I'm curious what the Bears do with the #1 pick? Hang on to Fields and trade down for a King's Ransom or pick the best QB in the draft (is that Williams still, I pay almost 0 attention to College ball).
I'd be inclined to take proven players and more lower round picks in exchange for the #1 pick. Seems like distributing your chances across multiple options is a better bet than going all in on that #1 spot.

Lamar flat out won MVP, balling at another level, and as long as he remains uninjured is a dangerous threat and great fit for his team.
Niner fans are thrilled with Purdy, however, only 23 years old with nothing but upside ahead of him, in the perfect system for his skills, and a decade from now will just be hitting his prime.
Dallas is good not great, Miami is weak on D, KC receivers should be sued for fraud, and Buffalo can either be a scary team no one wants to face or a turnover wreck. Detroit and Brown good stories, unlikely to be at the finish line.
Should be some really good playoff matches this year...though Ravens vs Niners the SB likely match, won't be surprised if two other teams made it in instead.

Here’s a discouraging set of stats…

Beginning in 2013 and extending to this season, here’s where Seattle has ranked in defensive EPA per play: 1, 3, 7, 7, 8, 15, 19, 18, 22, 25 and 29 this season. The trend is unmistakable.

Pete needs a bruising, consistent running back for his scheme, aka Beast Mode pounding the D's, wearing them out for th fourth quarter while keeping the other teams offense off the field.
Without a Beast, just another team lacking offensive innovation to open up the field for the QB = way too many three and out.

Offense has been mostly fine the last few games once the oline got healthy again. Still basic play calling but they managed to keep some good drives going.

The team's real issue is the defense. Seahawks have been dominated in time of possession for years now. They can't stop anybody, especially on third down. Backup qbs and most RBs have career games against these defenses year in and year out.

Bo Nix would be the answer to a lot of NFL teams needs at QB...the guy is an absolute calm headed stud. If Niners didn't have Purdy, Nix would fit that system of play like a glove.
For you Hawks' fans, hopefully the owner sells the team this offs eason and a new vision and fresh energy can be hired for a turn around.
Time for Pete to spend more time boggie boarding at his San Diego beach pad...
