NFR NFL 2023 Season

Although I like the Manning's , and usually watch the game with them , but last night they were terrible . I went to the other channel . If not mistaken is was telecast on three different channels . I recored two of them , thinking I'd start with the Manning's , that didn't last long ,switched channels .
We have Comcast. What other channels is the game on? The Mannings thoroughly ruined any enjoyment of the game last night. I turned it off and switched to the radio broadcast because I thought Mrs. Salmo was going to throw a brick through the flatscreen.

I too wondered about the shove ,right in front of an official , but the Geno hit , it sure looked like contact was made before he went out of bounds ,they usually let those go . It certainly was a rough hit ,but it looked legal it just continued out of bounds .
On the Geno one - contact was initiated out of bounds, but the issue more is that Geno was deliberately running out of bounds and the guy went for the worst kind of tackle (pulling from behind) which wouldn't have been effective until he got out of bounds anyways. It was a pretty dirty move.

ESPN2 is the Manning Cast. To watch without them, you watch regular ESPN I believe. I use YouTube TV, so not always 100% sure what channel it is, but I think just regular ESPN gets the game without them. They only popped up at like half time for a quick blurb on the one I was watching.

I reached Manning overload a long time ago. Typical US media, find something that works and pound it down your throat until you want to vomit.

Don't think so ,if we are talking about the same play ,watching the replay sure looked like contact was made before out of bounds . I agree it was nasty hit, but a lot of those plays the guy is going out of bounds ,but contact is made before they do . I don't know how to post the play ,maybe you can ? I sure thought or seen contact before he actually went out of bounds . I was wrong ONCE before . :)

Up until last night , I have watch the Manning's cast off ,and on. I usually enjoyed it ,but last night was terrible . I will usually do anything to not have to listen to Aikman .

The Giants are a pretty low bar to measure your team's success by. A lot of the early season opponents of the 'Hawks are the league's backmarkers, the rubber hits the road in November when they play the Ram's, 49ers, Cowboys, 49ers and Eagles on successive weekends. Those 5 games will pretty much define the 'Hawks season.

I don't think too many people are thinking the Hawks are god-tier because they walked all over the Giants. Just some good takeaways like the 2nd/3rd string O-line being serviceable and our 5th overall pick looking like an animal.

I just turn off the volume and enjoy the game.

I sometimes want to hear an explanation on a call from the ref . Some commentators I don't mind . Aikman is not one I want to listen to. I may try turning off the volume next Monday night . Where is Dandy Don , or Madden , those guys were fun to listen to . :)

Not that I think there's a conspiracy theory on this one... but of all the flags thrown, why not on the blatant shove on DJ Dallas and/or the out of bounds hit on Geno?

Got another look at the Geno play , was able to watch it several times , you need to also . Definitely not a late hit out of bounds , that tackle started in bounds . He's going to get nailed once he starts running .

Right, but it's the TYPE of tackle. 10 times out of 10, a defensive player will just knock them out bounds. Not pull them from behind and fall on their legs.

That is what i do. Same for most sports.
I don't watch entire games, often i will just stop for a minute and catch the scores and go back to my project(s).

I do sometimes wish i had/made time to sit down for 3 hours to watch the boob tube.

I honestly do SO MUCH running around and projects that I make myself sit and watch a game or sit and play a videogame at least every few days. They're literally the only two things I have that will get me to just shut my brain off and relax. If I ever DON'T do that, I hit burnout.

I typically have the radio broadcast in my ears while I do something (last night I was canning pickled carrots) and the TV on somewhere with the sound off.

Most of the time, radio is ~.5-1 play ahead of TV, so if Raible gets excited about something, I walk over to the TV and watch.

But I admit, I often like listening to sports as much as watching. And for some sports (baseball) I significantly prefer listening.

Boom…no one did it better than Madden…
