NFR NFL 2023 Season

Hate to see the donkeys win, but they did.
Chicago has some issues...

Dang, Broncos pulled one out, must have pulled RW :ROFLMAO:
Russ has got some issues for sure. Any hawk fan knows that. But he's FAR from the Broncos biggest issue. Russ didn't let CHI get out to a multiple TD lead. Russ didn't let MIA hang 70 on them.

It's always interesting how accurate Vegas is with this stuff. Remember that the Broncos/Bears line was Bears + 2.5.

Final was DEN 31 - CHI 28.

Big road win for the LA RAMS today. Stafford to Puka Nacua for the win!!!

Just out of spite: GO JETS!!!!

Pretty easy to see who will get the most screen time tonight.

Mac Jones and Patsies looked horrendous today

Ummm, ummm, tied!!!, really?

Go Jets!!! Said with sincerity too.

bullcrap flag
Yeah, it's a penalty to intercept NFL's favorite qb, risk the Vegas spread, and to disappoint all the Swiftie fans.

Sorry, but I'm kinda with the conspiracy theorists on this one. That whole drive was gifted to the chefs.

Just to elaborate on that a bit... I used to think the conspiracy theorists saying the NFL would put their thumbs on the scales for certain teams were on the same level as flat earthers... but with all the partnerships with sports betting companies and all that.... I think there is probably something to it. The NFL I think is about the only major league that hasn't been actually CAUGHT doing this yet. There's just been too many instances in the last couple years of this, with the vegas spread being at risk, or a team the league is hyping needing some help, and they get convenient phantom calls on 3rd down at crucial moments.

The chefs had their whole line holding for eternity on several crucial plays that got ignored, and they throw a ticky tack defensive holding flag, but only AFTER Mahomes was intercepted, which was well after the supposed "holding" happened. Then the turning a blind eye while the line held everyone so Mahomes could run 25yds.

Much more likely to just be a human making a dumb mistake. Hanlon's Razor wins the day again.

The chance of a third party both achieving that "thumb on scale" in a game as complicated and unpredictable as football AND keeping it quiet when that third party is filled with idiots and nepobaby failsons? There's no way.

Is it though? The NBA has had multiple issues with this over the years. It was well known that Jordan would get a free pass on fouls that would get called on other people. Star treatment is a real thing. The Chiefs and Mahomes being the new "chosen ones" is good for business. Taylor Swift is VERY good for business, so milk that while you can!

The lineman holding in that video was the most penalized lineman in the league until he went to the chefs, and his game hasn't changed at all.

I go back and forth on this a lot, but with all the money at stake and the NFL being VERY in bed with sports betting now, there's just a lot of smoke. Sports betting aside, star treatment is real and I think there was a bit of both last night.
