NFR NFL 2023 Season

What are people predicting for the fighting chickenhawks after the schedule has come out?

Is your QB good enough in year 2 of his resurrection?

Most have my beloved Patsies at 9-8 or 8-9.

Many do not believe in the Patsies QB in year 3 of his career.

I say 11-7. I believe in he kid and I like their defense and Billy O'Brien.
Despite a tough schedule I believe they will do better than last year. Not even going to guess, because at this point that’s all it would be.

I was reading an article about the Vikings plan to release Delvin Cook.
i thought this was pretty interesting regarding running backs and their stats as they age. I knew they declined, but not that much after the age of 28.
High mileage takes a toll on the body. Kids.....play wide receiver, cornerback etc. ;)
SF

This could also be an attempt by Minnesota to avoid the dreaded running back cliff. Only 13 running backs since 2015 eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards in a season after they turned 28 and only two — Aaron Jones and Derrick Henryhave done it since 2020. Cook experienced a decline in efficiency in 2022 as well: His rushing yards over expectation dropped from +81 to -41 over the past year, according to NextGen Stats, and Cook led the NFL with 62 carries that either lost or didn't gain a yard, per ESPN's Kevin Seifert.

Geez, 126 days for the Chiefs!!!! Got their rings too (they're purdy):

Cheers and Go Chiefs!!

Would you rather:

Win one super bowl every 20 years but only make the playoffs 5 times
OR
Make the playoffs 15 times, go to 6 Conference champ games and 3 super bowls?

FYI, I just made up that criteria. Its not based on any actual team stats.

If I was a player I'd take the SB win just so I knew what it felt like.
As a fan I'll take being relevant most of the time.

Did the suspended players bet on their own games?
Only one did, apparently a $50 bet on his team to win. The most common violation across the suspensions was placing bets on their phones while at team training facilities.
The rules:
  1. Don't bet on the NFL.
  2. Don't gamble at your team facility, while traveling for a road game or staying at a team hotel.
  3. Don't have someone bet for you.
  4. Don't share team "inside information."
  5. Don't enter a sportsbook during the NFL playing season.
  6. Don't play daily fantasy football.
1 - the league is formally partnered with four sportsbooks
2 - can't bet on anything, including baseball, basketball, etc from beginning to end of football season.
5 - see 1
6 - the NFL has invested millions in promoting Fantasy Football to attract more players and bettors which = higher TV ratings = higher TV deals.
