Yeah, no QB is going to overcome what the defense is currently doing.

Hmmm...
I think he stays another year or two. He still seems to like the job, and the front office seems to like him.
The defense has the annoying habit of taking half a season to play well, and the new d coach has not changed that so far.
Smith is not the reason they are losing, while no great qb, he made some very good passes yesterday, and a few misses as well...but that is what you get.
A couple of drive killing holds and some porous d...things that need work if they are going to win more than 5 games.
3 games is not a great sample size, but a 3-6 record after 9 games is not unthinkable here.

I think he sticks around until his contract is up. I think it's likely the heir apparent will be an understudy in the meantime (Sean Desai?). But all speculation.
