Newman Lake Spokane

So I’m playing tennis in a couple weeks in Spokane and the team has rented a house for a couple nights on Newman Lake, with backyard access to the lake. WDFW makes it sound like a warm water fishery mostly. Trying to decide if it would be worthwhile to take some gear up, or is your water still too cold up there? Feel free to private message me if appropriate. Thanks in advance.

I've never fished it but from what I've heard it's one of the better Tiger Muskie lakes in the state. A guy at Silver Bow fly shop used to
guide it but I haven't been keeping up with their reports lately so not sure if they still do that.
You probably already looked at this but there's a pot pourri of species that swim there.

Twelve miles northeast of Spokane about a mile from the Idaho border, this year-round open season spot has something for everybody: largemouth bass

Definitely bring your fly rod! It doesn’t take up any room and remember…..if you have it and don’t use it is better than if you need it and don’t have it!

Newman has tigers....musky that is. A quick internet search shows it has pretty damn healthy bass too. LM and smallies. Good luck!
