New Tools/Apps from your PNW crew - Time to test!

No there did used to be a "Whats new" or new posts or something along those lines that was always pinned in the lighter green bar. I think the apps bumped it off somehow. I also used that to just refresh the unread messages, it also had slightly different behavior than that new posts link.

Hmm ok. That was mostly a seldom-used extra link. I can put it back up if a few liked it. I only ever use that "What's New" from my screenshot.

I'm usually looking on the site on my cell phone, which pins a lightning bolt/new posts link at the bottom of my phone screen. I can live without it on desktop. When I'm on my computer, I should be working anyway!

Need some of yous to try something out for me. at pnwfishing.net - there's a login option now that links to your pnwflyfishing.com/forum account. Idea being that forum supporters will be granted special access in future updates/apps.

I need a few of you to sign in with that so I can see how the process goes for different folks.

I can sign into PNWFLYFISHING.COM FORUM, but my credentials don't allow me to login at PNW FISHING ACCOUNT

Are you using your username or email? It needs to be username so make sure.

Thanks Evan.

I am able to login to to PNWFLYFISHING.COM FORUM just fine with my username and password.

I was having issues with PNW FISHING ACCOUNT. That requires an email. I used my email and password from the forum. Do I need to create a PNW FISHING account? Since I have a PNWFF Forum account, should I not worry about having a PNW FISHING ACCOUNT?

But on desktop, "Home" stays visible as I scroll down, but "New posts" is left behind at the top the page. Maybe it was always that way? No big deal on my end, it works fine on my phone with the Harry Potter symbol. First world problems ...

Why does it now take this site 4-5 minutes to load and a slightly shorter period of time to change pages? I know nothing about websites and computers but none of the other innertube places I frequent are having this issue.

And it took several minutes for my previous post to appear.

The Fish Counts app looks real nice but I'm not seeing a lot of data from WA in it, nor any current WA survey data (i.e. Hatchery Returns) at the Stream Net site for streams in my area. Maybe I'm naive but is WDFW making policies and setting seasons and limits flying blind (best available science from 6-20+ yrs ago)?

Hmm I'll check into that. The hatchery data stuff hasn't been fully tested yet and I haven't had a ton of time to work on these lately. I'll take a look as soon as I can. But the data very well may not be there.
