New Tools/Apps from your PNW crew - Time to test!

Have two new apps ready to test with anyone who wants to mess with them. I've done enough work on them now so want to take at least a week or two break while I digest and let others poke around and give their thoughts.

PNW Fishing Tools

River flows, fish counts, wind, waves, tides, and tuna ocean-condition tools for Pacific Northwest anglers.

Tool 1 - River flows app. I've always thought that the ones we had available to us were a bit clunky and unintuitive, so I finally put together my own version. There's still plenty I'd like to do on it, but a lot of that involves figuring out how to scrape and display certain data like mean/median flows and display that over the current flows for comparison. Wasn't as simple as I anticipated.

This one is ready for you to access as is!




Tool 2 - Ocean Chloro & SST Map - this is for the saltwater anglers, of which I don't know there are going to be a lot here to make use of it. But if you'd like to check it out, send me a message to get the access code to register for it.


After a few more weeks of testing, I plan to transition the tools and their access to be tied to your PNWFF supporter status - or give outsiders the ability to subscribe separately.

Need some of yous to try something out for me. at pnwfishing.net - there's a login option now that links to your pnwflyfishing.com/forum account. Idea being that forum supporters will be granted special access in future updates/apps.

I need a few of you to sign in with that so I can see how the process goes for different folks.

Ahh, I have an Android phone and the option to sign with PNWFLYFISHING.COM was not working. If I put it on "Desktop view" now I see two boxes, the right one for the PNWFLYFISHING.COM email and password now show and I was able to log in. What else you need to report?

I logged in with the bottom of the two options (use your PNWFF account). That worked for me.

I think I need to more clearly mark which login is which - the first one is for a non-forum account, the second being for a forum account. You'd need to log in with your forum name, not email in that box. I may figure out a way to use email there, too. One thing at a time, haha.

It confused me, too. I tried to log in with the top option first.

I'm on Android mobile and had 2 issues
1) the fillable parts of the PNWFF login option are not entirely visible and do not scroll

2) I got this page when I tried to log in via PNWFF

I checked the Deschutes (WA) river gauge near Rainier and was redirected to a page with all Deschutes river gauges, OR and WA on the same page

First thing with the sign in should be fixed now.

I'll have to figure out a solution for the Deschutes issue. That may take some creativeness I currently lack, haha.

"Could not reach the forum server. Please try again shortly."

I tried again shortly. Did @Billy forget to pay the bill?
