NBA Playoffs 2023

NBA playoffs are a lot like baseball for me...I don't get interested until the long regular season is over and the playoffs begin. I have been surprised by a few things so far. The Bucks getting beat by the Heat. Denver being up 2 games to none against the Suns. Knicks winning the first round and being tied 1-1 as I don't know anyone except Brunson. 76ers being up a game without the MVP. That said, the most entertaining series might be the Lakers vs. GS.

I don't have a favorite, just enjoy watching quality basketball and teamwork, hustle, passing, defense, and rebounding. I'm not really digging all the 3 point shots. To me, GS, Boston, and the Suns have the most team talent/depth. I didn't really know anybody from the Nuggets except Joker and I'm very surprised they are taking it to Phoenix. I don't think any big man/center has the potential for triple doubles like Joker since Chamberlain. And during his career, they didn't even count blocks until the end.

I find the comments from from Charles and Ive very interesting, almost to the point of starting up a societal discussion. While I disagree with some/much of what each post on the forum (and I keep that to myself) I still respect their respective opinions and I think that is one of the big problems with America. It seems like we are losing the ability to disagree with others and still maintain respect for the opposing/different view. In this case, I ponder and even speculate which is more important...Ive's freedom to voice his opinion or Charles' desire to not feel uncomfortable by an opposing (potentially outdated definition) view? It seems like a great social experiment, which ultimately has little to do with the NBA playoffs.

Favorites keep dropping games … personally I like it when recent (< 3 yr) conference / league champions go down. Spread the success and keep things interesting.

Decent showing by the C’s last night…it was raining 3’s….now to take one in Philly…

In game two the Lakers double teaming took away Curry’s three point game. At which point he confounds them by becoming a playmaker who gets the ball to under defended guys. Blowout results. What a talent.

Biggest adjustment the dubs made was having 4 shooters on the floor instead of the 3 they had in game one when Green and Looney spent most of the game being passers. Time for James to retire.

I may be a prisoner of the moment (likely), but damn, has there been a better 8 seed than this years Heat? Damn,...

Damn good, that is.

And Jimmy...the dude is an absolute basketball stud!

He looked pretty good even with badly rolling his ankle a week ago…

The old men of LA beat down the Dubs at home…

Celtics vs nuggets
Celtics in 6

Nuggets haven't had Murray last few playoffs. Finally showing what they can do.

naw, it'll be MY Miami Butlers vs. Suns/Lakers/Warriors.

Nuggets will eventually figure out a way to choke....as usual.

🍻

Is LA a 7 or 8?

Regardless, I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a bubble rematch.

Oh, they might be a 7. I just know they did the play in deal.
I mean shit, Miami (7th headed in) damn near lost to Chicago to get eliminated of all things....

C’s prevail, move on the the Eastern Conference Finals…Tatum had 5 monster quarters in a row…
