Monthly Tying Contest?

[Scudley Do Right]

Is there any interest in reviving the monthly tying contests? If so throw out some ideas for themes in this thread. I kinda miss them because they got me out of my comfort zone. If there's enough interest we can do it in Nov.

That's right up my alley. I can't help but save everything and try to mash them into something.

Pick a fish o' the month...then take patterns for it, winner picks next month's fish.

Lamprey flies anyone?

Could be incorporating a specific material or I remember one where you had to use an unconventional material.

I enjoy my comfort zones.

At my age I've accumulated a plethora of discomfort zones.

When @James St. Clair called out my pat's in one of the contests it really pushed me as a tier and a fisher. I've settled on the knuckle dragging platform and am just tickled with the results. I'll participate in some for sure!
