Nice article.
It’s interesting that the Loch Leven strain of trout was introduced so widely in the western US, but that the brown trout that live here now bear absolutely no resemblance to Loch Leven trout. it would be better if they did!
The sad fact is that the trout in Loch Leven don’t look a lot like Loch Leven trout any more either. They are mostly rainbows!
