I watched a lake fishing video today, and to my amazement, a man was using a Miyazaki Popper fished sub-surface with a short leader and heavy sink line and was killing it. Is that a thing.? I love how creative some people are. Guess I’ll dig out my saltwater fly book and give this a try..

I've tried it on some lakes, after some of the Orvis classes I've taught. A few times I would cast towards Leland(he was on the bank, and I would cast it at the water in front of him) and see how long it took him to notice what I was doing!! 😄

Same technique/idea as fishing a booby fly. This would probably do well at Pass Lake or any lake where the fish eat minnows. I don't do this enough, but lots of booby guys on here that catch a lot of fish.
I mean, there are probably a lot of booby guys on here that don't catch fish too, but that's probably a thread best left off of here. 😁
