A lot of us grew up with his his wisdom and humor. It's a bit like losing a family member that we never were lucky enough to meet yet seemed to know really well. Speaks volumes that the leader of our great nation upon hearing of his tragic death immediately went on his social media platform and blamed the tragedy on Mr Reiner's political stance on the behaviors of said politician. We live in a sick world.

I was trying hard not to go there. While I don't disagree with anything you said, I think this comment is too political for this forum and should be removed.
 
Such a bummer. Spinal tap was an all timer. He directed some of the best versions of key types of movies. Rom-Com, fairy tale, mockumentory. I grew up watching All in the Family and he was such a great counterpart to Archie. Just sad...

I don't think any normal person would call the certain politicians response "complaining'. Depraved ranting of a sick man is more like it.

It would be nice when we sign in to this site that the political whining is parked at the door.

Some(3-4 ) members can't help themselves, even when Evan ask In a polite manner to refrain. They just can't follow the rules.
So they get lumped into the same boat imo.

Thinking about it he really was diverse in genres. Add Horror, Courtroom, Coming-of-Age. Many of his movies are considered classics for their category. Such a sad event to end his life.
 
When I was small, I remember my family watching that show. Amongst my family, there was a decent sized contingent that wouldn't really recognize the irony/comedy of Archie and AITF, but would see it as some version of a reality show about someone sort of like them.
