I have a friend just getting started and let's just say he's.....frugal. Given that he'll probably only fish a few times a year, thoughts on a cheaper net? I'm trying to talk him out of the $29 Amazon one.

Frabill has some relatively inexpensive wood nets with some different bag options.
Sportco and Outdoor Emporium probably have some inexpensive options as well.

Checkout FB Marketplace and Craig's List. There always seems to be 3 or 4 decent looking ones listed in our area for $30 or less.

Frabill rubber coated knotless nylon. I got well over 10 years out of my little tout one.

Larger size is great for carp.

I have used the top net for about a year with no complaints! Seems pretty decent quality for the price.

$5 tennis racket from the thrift store with a $10 fish net replacing the strings..strong and light. Tell me how much difference it would be in use from a $200 Fishpond?

$2.00 Fishpond sticker and their egos will soar.

As long as it matches my shirt I'm good with it...
