Well, for the second time I have broken the tip section on my LOOP OptiStream 5wt. First time was repaired by LOOP USA in ID. Apparently COVID killed that operation. So now, the only option is shipping to Sweden for repair or warranty work. The OptiStream is an older rod and no longer under warranty, but I swear by this rod for it's feel and accuracy. Had a great interaction with Andreas at LOOP via email over the past two days on how to get my rod back in working order, and while it's going to take a while, they were responsive to my inquiry. Looking like it'll be late fall to get it taken care of, but very happy with their response. Luckily a few other rods in the quiver to fill the gap.
