Looking for intel about BC rivers: the upper Columbia, Bull, St. Mary's

Last September, we fished the Elk and Michel River, both near Fernie, BC. No Hoot owl, no fires, and friendly people. Fernie is a cool town focused on fishing.

We'll repeat the timing and trip this year, and I'd like to fish a couple more rivers. I'm looking for intel about the Bull, the St. Mary's, and, in particular, the upper Columbia. Have you fished them? The first two seem like classic freestone rivers. The Columbia is accessed via jon boats with casting platforms, and the fish are rumored to be, well, large.

I've studied various guiding websites, but there seems to be a lack of articles, etc., describing the rivers. Hey, maybe this is a good thing...think about all the articles you can find about the Madison or the Missouri and the resulting traffic jams at the access launch ramps.

I'm looking to lock down our plans by Monday of Tuesday next week. Thanks.

Heading to Northport myself in September. I plan to learn more by hiring a local guide and not post any secrets either. Hoping to explore options for pike, walleye and big bows. Mostly there to relax.
