Local South King County lake -- Where are the 12" to 16" trout?

I have not done much fishing this year locally. Arthritis, cold and wet weather plus wind have kept me off this local South King County lake. Ask what the definition of a a fair weather fisherman is and that is me. I have had a couple of lady fisher people over previously from the MayFly Project (@Northern and @FishingGirl ) to fish even though I did not join them this time. Just gave them access to the lake. They deserve a good time and in appreciation for all they do. They did okay to Eeehhh but they had a lot of fun just getting out...

Last week another MayFly Project volunteer that lives locally gave me a call and asked if they could fish. Of Course! I did not go out. Had been a long weekend of Honey-Do projects and was just too tired. Poor me... Gave the person a lay of the lake and out they went. Caught 3 species within an hour: crappie, trout, and bass. Asked if any perch - nope. Within a few minutes caught a perch. Quadfecta! Now in competition with @Northern for the pentfecta - the elusive catfish!

I went out the next day for an evening fishing jaunt - just 2 hours. Only caught 3 with 2 in the 20"+ category and 1 in 24"+ category. Here is a 20"+ fish (measured) I caught:

The same MayFly Project volunteer came over tonight for a couple of hours. First hour was decent fishing. Then a front moved in, temps dropped 15 degrees in a matter of minutes. Fishing fell off a lot! I caught 6 fish all over 18"+. One I caught got a lot of my attention. The first view of the trout about 5' + away:

Holy crap! Had to net it just to do C&R and get my fly back...

Compared to 20" fish in the first pic Very much prettier. Same net. Just took a bit more room. Also it had a hooked jaw (much like a sockeye ) ---> a first for me with a triploid...

Bass fishing is still very slow. Crappie to 12" are being caught. Perch are small - 4 - 6" or so. Looks like a great summer to fish. Now where are the 12" to 16" trout? No clue...

Point of clarification: When I grant access - we had planned and coordinated a date and time to fish. We were all going out fishing together. One time I got kidney stones/UTI. The other time I had removed a rose and flower garden, removed fencing and perimeter boards and moved in dirt to level the area out. Rather than cancel a planned outing at the last minute I said go without me. Felt that was better than canceling since it is so hard to coordinate times...

No public access + charity babes + access permission + JTs = raw-fish, side-dish condiment (Ceviche) jealousy.

You wanted to know. The math backs it up.

Wow. I could cherry pick words out of context like the kind of a jealous jerk that I would rather not be. Because, like, you know: charity babes. I would’ve done the same, if not more. Heroes don’t need to explain themselves.
