Live Imaging Sonar Effectiveness

Spent the last two days fishing a couple of lakes. All floating lines and indicators. Guy had Garmin Livescope on his boat. First time I have been on a boat that had that. Didn't spend much time looking at the screen but when we stopped in a potential spot and scanned around for fish it surely cut out us stopping for 20 minutes to see if any fish were eating. If we didn't see a fish or two then we just moved on. Seemed to be an effective tool for locating potential spots to fish and to not waste time fishing dead water. But that's a pretty limited sample size for me.

Any of you guys using Livescope/Active Target/Mega Live?

I’ve never used it and have nothing against people that do.
Personally I have no interest in it. It takes away some of the mystery of fishing for me.
But then again, I probably only believe the above because I currently don’t have the cash to get one… edit that, prices have really come down… hmmm 🤔

I'm not using Livescope, I just "graduated" to a Garmin Striker 4 from my Fishin' Buddy 120. I remember quite clearly the day I first used a portable sonar (Fishin' Buddy 110 - downlooking only) and several comments my friend Sam made that were something along the lines of "that's cheating", "NO way I'd ever use one of those things".......... 😏 (Sam now uses sonar.)
