Has anyone gotten bothered or bad vibes while there?

I’d read the person who lived there often stopped by to ‘chat’ or check out what you were doing.

I stopped there once last year and the dogs on the adjacent property were annoying so I bagged it.

pleasant setting and nice little lake tho
 
Haven't had any problems with the guy who lives next to the launch - or his dogs. He's chatty. I heard that he used to own most of the land around the lake. He sold the land but has the right to live there for life. Someone tried to turn the lake into a hipcamp destination by ploughing a road around the lake and clearing scrawny campsites along the shore. Seems to have failed (the marshy weedy shores aren't suited to swimming) and the sites are now being returning to nature.

Bambooflyguy and I fished it a couple years ago chucking dries into hungry mouths into the pitch dark.
Used Steves head lights to pack up our gear when the homeowner just showed up quietly walking up next to the truck.
He asked us what were we doing? Steve quickly defused the moment and then we had a good couple minutes to chat about the fishing.
It has to be tough living that far out and experiencing lots of different personalities coming to the lake.
